How it works

1. Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
2. When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
3. Play any land from your graveyard.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
5. Repeat.

This clever defensive lock completely insulates you from harm by weaponizing Glacial Chasm's sacrifice requirement. Because Glacial Chasm prevents all damage that would be dealt to you, you can safely ignore incoming attacks and damage, though its cumulative upkeep would normally force you to sacrifice it quickly. However, Perennial Behemoth solves this by letting you play lands directly from your graveyard, while Exploration grants you the extra land drop needed to replay Glacial Chasm turn after turn without running out of resources. You simply let the Chasm die to its own upkeep or sacrifice it to itself when it enters, maintaining an unbreakable bubble of protection.
