How it works

1. Cast Sandbar Merfolk either from your hand or from your graveyard by paying , causing it to enter the battlefield as a copy of the creature with Infinite Reflection attached.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Sandbar Merfolk, adding .
3. If you cast Sandbar Merfolk from your graveyard, Sandbar Merfolk is not exiled by Abandoned Sarcophagus due to Infinite Reflection removing Sandbar Merfolk's cycling ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Sandbar Merfolk into an endless resource by leveraging Infinite Reflection to strip away its native cycling ability upon entry, which neatly bypasses the exile-replacement clause of Abandoned Sarcophagus. With that barrier removed, you can repeatedly cast the Merfolk straight out of your graveyard for its single blue mana cost. Once it resolves as a fresh copy, you simply feed it to Phyrexian Altar to generate the mana needed to cast it again, fueling an unending cycle of sacrifices that effortlessly racks up massive storm counts and death triggers.
