How it works

1. Activate Orthion's first ability by paying 1 and tapping it, creating a token copy of Composite Golem with haste.
2. Activate the Composite Golem token by sacrificing it, adding .
3. When the Composite Golem token dies, Orthion triggers, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

This crafty loop turns Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink into a one-man mana engine by weaponizing Thornbite Staff. Because Orthion is a Shaman, the Staff automatically equips to him, granting the crucial untap trigger whenever any creature dies. You use Orthion's cheap ability to clone Composite Golem, sacrifice that token for a rainbow of mana, and let the resulting death trigger untap Orthion so you can immediately repeat the process.
