How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument.
2. Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument trigger.
3. Resolve the Defiler of Faith trigger, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Ajani's Welcome triggers, causing you to gain life.
5. Resolve the Oketra's Monument trigger, creating a 1/1 Warrior creature token.
6. When the Warrior enters, Ajani's Welcome triggers, causing you to gain life.
7. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Ajani's Welcome trigger.
8. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
9. Resolve the Ajani's Welcome trigger, causing you to gain life.
10. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the humble Kor Skyfisher into a self-sustaining engine by dropping its casting cost to a cool zero using the cost-reducing synergy of Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument. Every time you cast the Skyfisher, the Defiler and the Monument reward you with a Soldier and a Warrior token respectively, which in turn trigger Ajani's Welcome to continually pad your life total and offset the 2 life paid to the Defiler.
