How it works
- Gain life.
- The Destined White Mage triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- When the creature token enters the battlefield, Ajani's Welcome triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop feeds on itself by closing a tight, self-sustaining loop between life gain and counter placement. It all starts when you gain life, which prompts The Destined White Mage to place a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale; that counter triggers Basking Broodscale to create an Eldrazi Spawn token. As that token enters the battlefield, Ajani's Welcome notices and grants you 1 life, which immediately restarts The Destined White Mage's trigger. You can sacrifice the resulting Eldrazi Spawn for mana along the way, turning a tiny spark of life into an engine that generates infinite counters, tokens, and mana.
