How it works

1. Activate Battered Golem using the ability granted to it by Lavamancer's Skill by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating a Treasure token.
3. When the Treasure enters, Battered Golem triggers, untapping Battered Golem.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Battered Golem into a localized artillery piece by suiting it up with Lavamancer's Skill, granting it the ability to ping targets directly. Because Lavamancer's Skill also conveniently turns the Golem into a Wizard, that tap ability deals a precise point of damage straight to Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug's natural resilience shrugs off the blow, but its rage triggers to spin up a shiny new Treasure token. The moment that artifact enters the battlefield, Battered Golem's static trigger notices the new arrival and automatically untaps the Golem, leaving you ready to ping Smaug all over again for an infinite fortune of Treasures and mana.
