How it works

1. Activate Avatar Kuruk by paying 20 minus 1 for each creature and/or artifact you can tap while activating it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
2. Activate Fortune's saddle ability by tapping Avatar Kuruk, causing Fortune to become saddled until end of turn.
3. Declare Fortune as an attacker. At the end of combat, Fortune triggers, blinking it and Avatar Kuruk and causing Avatar Kuruk to return to the battlefield as The Legend of Kuruk with two lore counters on it due to Vorinclex.
4. The Legend of Kuruk's first and second chapter abilities trigger and Fortune trigger.
5. Resolve the Fortune trigger, causing you to scry 2.
6. Resolve the Legend of Kuruk triggers, causing you to scry 2, draw a card, scry 2 and draw another card.
7. Move to your next turn. At the beginning of your precombat main phase. The Legend of Kuruk triggers, putting two lore counters on it. Its third chapter ability triggers, causing you to exile it and return it to the battlefield as Avatar Kuruk.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop harnesses the recursive power of The Legend of Kuruk // Avatar Kuruk to chain together infinite extra turns by exploiting its massive Exhaust waterbend ability. To make this work, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider doubles the lore counters placed on the Saga as it enters the battlefield, instantly bypassing the first two chapters to flip it right back into Avatar Kuruk at the start of each turn cycle. Meanwhile, Fortune, Loyal Steed serves as the perfect blinking engine; by saddling it using Avatar Kuruk, Fortune safely resets the Saga at the end of combat so the cycle can repeat indefinitely.
