How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Pearl Medallion.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Impassioned Orator triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Impassioned Orator trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Impassioned Orator trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the humble Kor Skyfisher into a self-sustaining engine by completely removing its mana cost. With both Pearl Medallion and a life-subsidized Defiler of Faith active, you can cast the Skyfisher for free, while the Defiler simultaneously rewards that cast by creating a Soldier token. That token's entry triggers Impassioned Orator for a life boost, and when the Skyfisher itself hits the battlefield, its own drawback works to your advantage by bouncing itself right back to your hand.
