How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Pearl Medallion.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Impassioned Orator triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Impassioned Orator trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Impassioned Orator trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This elegant engine uses Defiler of Faith and Pearl Medallion to reduce the cost of Whitemane Lion all the way down to a net zero mana—you simply pay 2 life for the Defiler's cost reduction, letting you cast the Lion repeatedly for free. Every time Whitemane Lion hits the battlefield, its own entry trigger forces it right back to your hand, while Defiler of Faith creates a 1/1 white Soldier token to keep the chain going. Finally, Impassioned Orator sits quietly on the board converting every single one of those token entries into a stream of infinite life and lifegain triggers.
