How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Pearl Medallion.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Hinterland Sanctifier triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Hinterland Sanctifier trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Hinterland Sanctifier trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms the humble Kor Skyfisher into a self-sustaining engine by completely removing its mana cost. Thanks to the combined cost reductions from Defiler of Faith and Pearl Medallion, you can cast the Skyfisher for free, though you'll pay two life to fulfill the Defiler's health-payment requirement. Every time the Skyfisher touches the battlefield, its own entry trigger forces it right back to your hand while simultaneously fueling Hinterland Sanctifier and setting off Defiler of Faith's token-creation ability. That resulting 1/1 Soldier creature token then gives you yet another life cushion via the Sanctifier, letting you safely cycle through this entire sequence infinitely.
