How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Pearl Medallion.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Guide of Souls triggers, causing you to gain life and get E
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Guide of Souls trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Guide of Souls trigger, causing you to gain life and get E
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop transforms Whitemane Lion into a completely free, infinitely repeatable spell by stacking cost-reducers; with both Pearl Medallion and Defiler of Faith doing the heavy lifting, you pay 2 life instead of mana to cast the Cat, while the Defiler simultaneously rewards each cast by spawning a 1/1 white Soldier creature token.
