How it works

1. Activate The Book of Exalted Deeds by paying , tapping and exiling it, putting an enlightened counter on an Angel you control.
2. Cast Fractured Identity by paying 3, exiling Nine Lives and causing each opponent to create a token copy of it.
3. Nine Lives leaves the battlefield, however you cannot lose the game due to The Book of Exalted Deeds.
4. Cast Cleansing Nova by paying its mana cost, destroying all enchantments.
5. When each opponent's Nine Lives leaves the battlefield, they each trigger, causing each opponent to lose the game.

This clever political lock relies on The Book of Exalted Deeds to grant an Angel an enlightened counter that completely shields you from losing the game. Once that safety net is established, you cast Fractured Identity to exile your own Nine Lives and gift copies of it to each of your opponents. Because Nine Lives naturally punishes its controller with defeat the moment it leaves the battlefield, wiping away those new enchantments with Cleansing Nova forces all of your opponents' copies to trigger simultaneously. Thanks to your Angel's blessing, you safely ignore your own Nine Lives departure while watching every opponent succumb to theirs at the exact same time.
