How it works
- Activate The Book of Exalted Deeds by paying , tapping and exiling it, putting an enlightened counter on an Angel you control.
- Cast Fractured Identity by paying 3, exiling Nine Lives and causing each opponent to create a token copy of it.
- Nine Lives leaves the battlefield, however you cannot lose the game due to the Angel with the enlightened counter on it.
- Cast Merciless Eviction by paying its mana cost, exiling all enchantments.
- When each opponent's Nine Lives leaves the battlefield, they each trigger, causing each opponent to lose the game.
This intricate masterpiece relies on using The Book of Exalted Deeds to place an enlightened counter on an Angel you control, granting you an absolute shield that prevents you from losing the game. With that safety net in place, you cast Fractured Identity to exile your own Nine Lives, giving each opponent a token copy of it—a permanent whose last ability would normally make its controller lose the game when it leaves the battlefield. Finally, you cast Merciless Eviction to wipe all enchantments, sending all of those newly gifted copies of Nine Lives away simultaneously. Because your opponents' tokens leave the battlefield, their respective Nine Lives triggers go on the stack and force each of them to lose the game, while your own unlosable state lets you effortlessly survive the chaos.
