How it works
- Cast Fractured Identity by paying 3, exiling Asmodeus the Archfiend and causing each opponent to create a token copy of it.
- Asmodeus the Archfiend causes each opponent to exile the top card of their library whenever they would draw a card, and Drana and Linvala prevents the opponents from activating Asmodeus' abilities to retrieve those cards.
By using Fractured Identity to exile your own Asmodeus the Archfiend, you graciously gift token copies of the Archfiend to each of your opponents. Because Asmodeus's replacement effect alters all card draws into exiling the top card of the library face down instead, your opponents are suddenly locked out of drawing cards entirely. To ensure they can never break out of this prison, Drana and Linvala sits on your board, leveraging its static ability to shut down the activated abilities of creatures your opponents control so they can never pay to return those exiled cards to their hands.
