How it works

1. When an opponent controls an untapped creature, activate Skirge Familiar by discarding a card, adding .
2. Curator of Mysteries triggers, causing you to scry 1.
3. Elvish Mariner triggers, causing you to tap an untapped creature an opponent controls.
4. Hylda of the Icy Crown triggers, causing you to pay 1 to scry 2 and draw a card.
5. Elvish Mariner triggers, causing you to tap nothing.
6. Repeat as desired.

This ingenious engine converts your discards into a relentless wave of control and card draw by looping through several reactive triggers. Whenever you fuel Skirge Familiar by discarding a card for black mana, Curator of Mysteries triggers to let you scry 1. That scry instantly wakes up Elvish Mariner, which taps down an opponent's untapped creature. Hylda of the Icy Crown then notices that tap, offering you the option to pay {1} to scry 2 and draw a card—which in turn feeds further scry and discard opportunities to keep the loop going.
