How it works
- Activate Kenrith by paying , putting two +1/+1 counters on Crystalline Crawler.
- Activate Crystalline Crawler by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding .
- Repeat.
This ingenious loop relies on a brilliant cost reduction from Biomancer's Familiar to make Kenrith, the Returned King's green mana ability cost just {G} instead of {{1}}{G}. When you pour that mana into Crystalline Crawler, its built-in mana ability converts its counters back into green mana to repeat the process. Meanwhile, Brad Boimler, Eager Ensign turns this engine into an absolute avalanche by doubling every single counter placed on Crystalline Crawler. Once you have generated infinite mana and infinite counters this way, you can easily sink your resources back into Kenrith, the Returned King's other activated abilities to draw your whole deck, gain infinite life, and resurrect every creature from all graveyards.
