How it works
- Cast The Master by paying .
- When The Master enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to sacrifice Mercurial Pretender and create at least two Treasure tokens.
- Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
- Activate The Master by paying and sacrificing a Treasure, returning Mercurial Pretender from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of The Master, which causes the Mercurial Pretender to be a copy of Ruthless Technomancer.
- When Mercurial Pretender enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to sacrifice The Master and create two Treasure tokens.
- Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
- Activate Mercurial Pretender by paying and sacrificing a Treasure, returning The Master from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Ruthless Technomancer.

This fascinating loop turns a recycling engine into an endless cycle of sacrifices by repeatedly bouncing and copying key creatures. When you cast The Master, Formed Anew: Body Thief, it exiles Mercurial Pretender to enter the battlefield, which in turn lets you copy Ruthless Technomancer to instantly sacrifice The Master for a windfall of Treasure tokens. From there, Ruthless Technomancer's second ability uses those Treasures to recur the fallen creature from your graveyard, a process crucially discounted by Biomancer's Familiar so you only need a single mana to activate it. As Mercurial Pretender copies The Master upon returning—and subsequently becomes another Ruthless Technomancer—the loop becomes completely self-sustaining, generating infinite entries, sacrifices, and deaths.
