How it works

1. Activate Emiel the Blessed by paying 1, blinking Sailor of Means.
2. When Sailor of Means enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token.
3. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Sailor of Means into an endless source of enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers by repeatedly blinking it with Emiel the Blessed. Normally, Emiel's blink ability would cost four mana, but Biomancer's Familiar steps in to reduce that activation cost down to just a single mana. Because the Treasure token created by Sailor of Means provides exactly the {1} needed to pay for Emiel the Blessed's discounted ability, the loop pays for itself entirely.
