How it works

1. Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
2. Elrond triggers, causing you to scry 1.
3. Arwen Undómiel triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
4. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a 4/4 Beast creature token.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop hinges on a clever self-sustaining trigger chain where Elrond, Lord of Rivendell acts as the catalyst by turning any creature entering the battlefield into a scry 1 event. That scry immediately satisfies Arwen Undómiel's condition, prompting her to place a +1/+1 counter onto Herd Baloth. In turn, Herd Baloth’s passive capacity to spawn a 4/4 green Beast token whenever counters land on it brings a new creature onto the battlefield, restarting Elrond's entry trigger and locking the entire sequence into an infinite loop of scries, counters, and beasts.
