How it works

1. Activate Tawnos's second ability by paying 1, tapping it and sacrificing two artifact tokens, exiling Hyrax Tower Scout from your graveyard and creating a token copy of it that is an artifact in addition to its other types.
2. When the Hyrax Tower Scout token enters, it triggers, untapping Tawnos.
3. Activate Tawnos's first ability by paying 2 and tapping it, creating a copy of the Hyrax Tower Scout token and causing you to mill two cards.
4. When the Hyrax Tower Scout token enters, it triggers, untapping Tawnos.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Hyrax Tower Scout token, adding CC.
6. Repeat from step 3.

By leveraging Tawnos, Solemn Survivor to continually rebuild and clone your fallen scouts, this engine turns a single trip to the graveyard into an endless mechanical loop. Once Hyrax Tower Scout is in your graveyard, Tawnos brings it back as an artifact creature token, whose entry trigger immediately untaps Tawnos to keep the chain moving. From there, Ashnod's Altar steps in to sacrifice those tokens for the colorless mana needed to fuel Tawnos's first ability, while also providing one of the two sacrificed artifact tokens required to restart the cycle.
