How it works
- Activate Chivalric Alliance by paying 2 and discarding a card, creating a 2/2 Knight creature token.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Knight, adding CC.
- When the Knight dies, Species Specialist triggers, causing you to draw a card.
- Repeat.
This loop turns spare mana and cards into a self-sustaining engine by cycling Knights through the battlefield and the graveyard. With Species Specialist on the board set to "Knight," every time you sacrifice the token generated by Chivalric Alliance to Ashnod's Altar, the Specialist rewards your sacrifice by drawing you a card. Meanwhile, Chivalric Alliance's activated ability handles the token-making duties and filters your hand by letting you discard a card, creating a closed loop that feeds itself both cards and mana.
