How it works
- Cast Aminatou by paying .
- When Aminatou enters the battlefield, Cadric triggers.
- Holding priority, activate Hedron Archive by tapping it, adding CC.
- Resolve the Cadric trigger, causing you to pay 1 to create a token copy of Aminatou.
- Activate Aminatou's second loyalty ability by removing a loyalty counter from it, blinking Hedron Archive.
- Activate the token Aminatou's second loyalty ability by removing a loyalty counter from it, blinking the nontoken Aminatou.
- Repeat from step 2.
This brilliant loop lets you exploit Aminatou, the Fateshifter by bypassing the legend rule entirely thanks to Cadric, Soul Kindler. When the original Aminatou enters, Cadric creates a hasty token copy, while Hedron Archive helps fund these magical payments by tapping for colorless mana. The two versions of Aminatou then take turns blinking each other and the Hedron Archive indefinitely, generating infinite enters-the-battlefield triggers, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and endless colorless mana.
