How it works

1. Cast Chain Stasis by paying , targeting Codie.
2. Holding priority, activate Codie by paying 2 and tapping it, adding .
3. Resolve Chain Stasis, untapping Codie and causing you to pay 2 to copy Chain Stasis, with the copy targeting Codie.
4. Repeat from step 2.
5. Once you have an arbitrarily large number of Codie triggers, you may choose not to copy Chain Stasis and cast any instant or sorcery by paying its mana cost, reduced by the added in step 1.
6. Codie triggers for each time you activated its ability.
7. Resolve the first trigger, causing you to exile cards from the top of your library until you exile an instant or sorcery spell with lesser mana value, and allowing you to cast that spell without paying its mana cost.
8. Repeat step 6 for each remaining trigger.
9. You may also repeat this combo for each instant and sorcery card in your hand as mana permits, and on subsequent turns.

This intricate mana-loop relies on Codie, Vociferous Codex as the central engine, using its tap ability to fund the recursion while setting up a massive cascade of triggers. By reducing the activation cost of those abilities down to just two mana, Biomancer's Familiar makes it economically feasible to repeatedly tap Codie for a full five-color mana injection. Meanwhile, Chain Stasis targets Codie to untap it and keep the loop going by paying into its copying clause. Once you have accumulated an arbitrary number of activations, you can stop copying the instant and let Codie's delayed triggers cascade through your library, casting every instant or sorcery with lesser mana value for free.
