How it works

1. Csat Change of Heart with buyback by paying 3.
2. Each Stormsplitter you control triggers, creating that many token copies of Stormsplitter.
3. Resolve Change of Heart, returning it to your hand.
4. If you control at least eight Stormsplitters, activate Phyrexian Altar four times by sacrificing four Stormsplitter tokens, adding 3.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop transforms a seemingly modest defensive spell into an unstoppable engine by leveraging Stormsplitter's ability to multiply itself with every instant or sorcery you cast. As your army of Stormsplitter copies grows, you can cast Change of Heart with its buyback cost repeatedly to continuously trigger more copies while safely returning the spell to your hand. Once you reach a critical mass of eight creatures, Phyrexian Altar steps in to convert four of those sacrificial Stormsplitter tokens back into the exact amount of mana needed to fuel the next iteration, looping the process indefinitely.
