How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Lord Skitter's Butcher, adding CC.
2. When Lord Skitter's Butcher dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Lord Skitter's Butcher from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Lord Skitter's Butcher enters, it triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This cunning loop turns the recycling power of Nim Deathmantle into a self-sustaining engine by feeding a sacrificed creature straight into Ashnod's Altar for the exact mana needed to bring it back. When Lord Skitter's Butcher enters the battlefield to fuel the loop, its trigger provides a convenient sacrifice fodder token to help generate the required mana.
