How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Trapjaw Kelpie
2. When Trapjaw Kelpie dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Trapjaw Kelpie enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Trapjaw Kelpie
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Trapjaw Kelpie's persist ability into a relentless machine gun by abusing how counters interact with one another. Each time Trapjaw Kelpie dies and returns with a -1/-1 counter, Stalwart Successor's triggered ability steps in as the first counters are placed on the creature that turn, immediately slapping a +1/+1 counter on it to cancel out the penalty. With the Kelpie's slate wiped clean of -1/-1 counters, you can freely sacrifice it to Goblin Bombardment over and over again to blast your opponents with infinite damage and endless death triggers.
