How it works

1. Cast Harmless Offering by paying 2, giving control of Vilis to an opponent.
2. During that opponent's draw step, they draw a card.
3. Nekusar triggers, dealing 1 damage to the opponent.
4. Vilis triggers, causing the opponent to draw a card.
5. Repeat from step 3 until the opponent loses the game either due to drawing from an empty library, or from having 0 life.

By casting Harmless Offering, you gift your Vilis, Broker of Blood to an opponent, turning their own life loss into a devastating engine. From there, Nekusar, the Mindrazer sets the whole catastrophe in motion by forcing that opponent to draw an extra card during their draw step, which immediately prompts Nekusar to deal 1 damage to them. Because that damage causes the opponent to lose life, Vilis triggers to hand them another drawn card—which loops right back into Nekusar dealing another point of damage, draining the opponent's life away or forcing them to draw from an empty library until they perish.
