How it works

1. Animate Mana Vault using Toymaker.
2. Activate Mana Vault by tapping it, adding CCC.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Mana Vault.
4. Repeat from step 2.

To pull off this explosive engine, Toymaker first plays the role of the animator, transforming Mana Vault into an artifact creature so it becomes a valid target for untapping. Once the Vault is brought to life, you tap it for three colorless mana, more than enough to fund Voltaic Construct's ability to untap it for just two mana. Because Mana Vault's own upkeep tax and self-damage trigger are entirely bypassed by keeping it active through the Construct rather than your untap step, you are left with an endless loop that generates infinite colorless mana.
