How it works

1. Animate Grim Monolith using Workshop Elders.
2. Activate Grim Monolith by tapping it, adding CCC.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Grim Monolith.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop starts by using Workshop Elders to turn your Grim Monolith into an artifact creature with four +1/+1 counters, bypassing its natural refusal to untap during your untap step. Once animated, tapping that same Grim Monolith yields three colorless mana—more than enough to fund Voltaic Construct's ability, which untaps the Monolith for just two mana. Because Voltaic Construct is itself an artifact creature that benefits from Workshop Elders granting it flying, the loop generates infinite colorless mana while leaving you with a menacing aerial board.
