How it works

1. Animate Timeless Lotus using Xenic Poltergeist.
2. Activate Timeless Lotus by tapping it, adding
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Timeless Lotus.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By turning Timeless Lotus into an artifact creature with Xenic Poltergeist, we unlock a potent mechanical loop: the Lotus now functions as an animate permanent that can be repeatedly targeted. We then use Voltaic Construct to untap the animated Lotus for a modest mana investment of two generic mana. Because the Lotus taps to produce a full five-color wedge of mana ({W}{U}{B}{R}{G}), every iteration of this untap cycle yields a net surplus of colored mana.
