How it works

1. Activate Codie by paying 4 and tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 1, untapping Codie.
3. Repeat.
4. Once you have an arbitrarily large number of Codie triggers, you may cast any instant or sorcery spell by paying its mana cost.
5. Codie triggers for each time you activated its ability.
6. Resolve the first trigger, causing you to exile cards from the top of your library until you exile an instant or sorcery spell with lesser mana value, and allowing you to cast that spell without paying its mana cost.
7. Repeat step 6 for each remaining trigger.

This marvelous engine transforms Codie, Vociferous Codex into an infinite mana generator and spell machine, sustained entirely by the artifact-untapping prowess of Voltaic Construct. Normally, activating Codie's mana ability would cost a prohibitive four mana, but attaching Power Artifact reduces that activation cost down to just one generic mana, creating a profitable loop where you net four mana of any color with every cycle. Because Codie's ability also triggers a cascade-like search for cheaper instants and sorceries every time it's activated, this repetitive untapping leaves you with an overwhelming number of delayed triggers waiting to rifle through your library. When the dust settles, you can cast virtually every instant or sorcery in your deck for free, burying your opponents in a cataclysm of magical energy.
