How it works

1. Animate Nyx Lotus using Katsumasa.
2. Activate Nyx Lotus by tapping it, adding at least 3
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Nyx Lotus.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By turning Nyx Lotus into a creature with Katsumasa, the Animator, we bypass its natural restriction against being tapped for mana the turn it enters and allow it to be legally targeted as an artifact creature. Once animated, tapping Nyx Lotus generates an abundance of colored mana—so long as your devotion to that color is at least three—which comfortably covers the activation costs needed to keep the engine moving. You then channel that generated energy directly into Voltaic Construct, paying its modest activation fee to untap Nyx Lotus and ready it for another round. Repeating this loop yields infinite mana and infinite untaps, letting you flood the board with activations and power.
