How it works

1. Animate Timeless Lotus using Katsumasa.
2. Activate Timeless Lotus by tapping it, adding
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Timeless Lotus.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By turning Timeless Lotus into an artifact creature with Katsumasa, the Animator, we elevate its legendary mana-producing potential into a permanent engine rather than a once-per-turn resource. That newly animated Lotus can then be continuously readied for action through the targeted untap ability of Voltaic Construct. Because the Construct's activation cost is cheaper than the five-mana windfall generated by the Lotus, this loop yields an ever-growing surplus of colored mana to fuel whatever else your board desires.
