How it works

1. Animate Basalt Monolith using The Blackstaff of Waterdeep.
2. Activate Basalt Monolith by tapping it, adding CCC.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Basalt Monolith.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By using The Blackstaff of Waterdeep to animate Basalt Monolith into an artifact creature, we pave the way for a self-sustaining loop. Tapping the newly awakened Basalt Monolith generates three colorless mana, which easily covers the activation cost of Voltaic Construct alongside the cost to untap the monolith itself. This leaves you with a net profit of one colorless mana each time you cycle through the sequence, allowing you to generate an endless supply of mana and infinite untaps for your artifact creatures.
