How it works

1. Animate Gilded Lotus using The Blackstaff of Waterdeep.
2. Activate Gilded Lotus by tapping it, adding three mana of any color
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Gilded Lotus.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By using The Blackstaff of Waterdeep to animate Gilded Lotus into a 4/4 artifact creature, we turn our mana rock into the target of our loop. Tapping the newly animated Gilded Lotus yields three mana, which easily pays for the activation cost of Voltaic Construct to untap it. Because Voltaic Construct's ability only requires two generic mana to untap any artifact creature, looping this sequence leaves us with a surplus of mana each iteration while effortlessly generating infinite colored mana and infinite untaps of artifact creatures you control.
