How it works

1. Animate Empowered Autogenerator using Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh.
2. Activate Empowered Autogenerator by tapping it, putting a charge counter on it and adding 1 for each charge counter on it.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Empowered Autogenerator.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By using Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh to turn Empowered Autogenerator into an artifact creature, you set the stage for a self-sustaining engine. Empowered Autogenerator taps to produce escalating amounts of mana as its charge counters grow, and thanks to Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh reducing the cost of artifact activations, the fee to untap it with Voltaic Construct drops to just a single generic mana. Once Voltaic Construct untaps the generator, you can repeat the process indefinitely, cycling through the mana to generate an infinite surplus of any color.
