How it works
- Activate Empowered Autogenerator by tapping it, putting a charge counter on it and adding 1 for each charge counter on it.
- Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Empowered Autogenerator.
- Repeat
This ingenious engine starts with March of the Machines, whose static ability transforms every noncreature artifact into an artifact creature with power and toughness equal to its mana value—crucially turning Empowered Autogenerator and Voltaic Construct into living machines. Because Empowered Autogenerator is now a creature, it becomes an eligible target for Voltaic Construct's untap ability. Once the Autogenerator has accumulated at least two charge counters, tapping it for mana yields enough output to pay the Construct's two-mana activation cost with energy to spare, netting infinite mana of any color and endless charge counters.
