How it works

1. Cast Angel's Grace by paying .
2. Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
3. Warstorm Surge triggers, dealing damage to you equal to the creature's power, with your life total becoming no lower than 1 due to Angel's Grace.
4. Darien triggers, creating a number of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens equal to the damage dealt to you.
5. When the Soldiers enter the battlefield, Warstorm Surge triggers that many times.
6. Resolve the first trigger, dealing 1 damage to you, with your life total becoming no lower than 1 due to Angel's Grace.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This elegant loop starts by casting Angel's Grace, which establishes a protective safety net that prevents your life total from dropping below 1 no matter how much damage you take this turn. Once any creature enters the battlefield to kick things off, Warstorm Surge triggers to deal damage equal to that creature's power directly to you. That self-inflicted damage immediately prompts Darien, King of Kjeldor to reward you with an equivalent swarm of 1/1 Soldier tokens. Those new tokens then loop back into Warstorm Surge, creating a continuous cascade of entering creatures and self-damage that infinitely fuels Darien, King of Kjeldor until your board is overflowing.
