How it works

1. Declare Phyrexian Vindicator as an attacker.
2. Holding priority, activate Catapult Squad by tapping two Soldiers, attempting to deal 2 damage to Phyrexian Vindicator.
3. The damage is prevented due to Phyrexian Vindicator's replacement effect. Phyrexian Vindicator triggers, dealing 2 damage to you.
4. Darien triggers, creating two 1/1 Soldier creature tokens.
5. When the Soldiers enter the battlefield, Aunt May triggers twice, causing you to gain 2 life.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop sets up an internal feedback cycle using Catapult Squad to ping your own Phyrexian Vindicator, whose replacement effect prevents the damage and redirects it straight back to you. That self-inflicted damage triggers Darien, King of Kjeldor to continuously manufacture fresh Soldier tokens, which instantly pad your life total thanks to Aunt May whenever they hit the battlefield. You can then tap those very same tokens right back into Catapult Squad to keep the engine running indefinitely.
