How it works

1. Activate a mana-producing permanent by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying , blinking the mana-producing permanent and Scrivener.
3. When Scrivener enters, it triggers, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Vadrik, Astral Archmage to reduce the cost of Ghostly Flicker down to a single blue mana, allowing you to continually cast it by recycling your resources. When you cast Ghostly Flicker, you target a mana-producing permanent alongside Scrivener, sending them into exile and bringing them right back to the battlefield. Scrivener’s triggered ability ensures that Ghostly Flicker goes straight from your graveyard back to your hand, ready to be cast again as long as you can fund that initial blue mana.
