How it works

1. Activate Mystic Sanctuary and Sol Ring by tapping them, adding 2.
2. Cast Ghostly Flicker either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 2, blinking Mystic Sanctuary and Sol Ring.
3. When Mystic Sanctuary enters untapped, it triggers, putting Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Repeat.

This clever engine turns a modest island and a classic artifact into an infinite loop by using Ghostly Flicker to continually reset their enter-the-battlefield states. While Sol Ring provides the exact mana needed to recast the spell each time, Mystic Sanctuary plays the crucial role of its recursion engine, its triggered ability stacking the instant right back onto your library. Meanwhile, The Lunar Whale pulls double duty: its passive ability lets you peer at the top of your deck at any time, and once it has attacked, its effect allows you to play Ghostly Flicker directly from the top to keep the cycle spinning endlessly.
