How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing another creature, adding .
2. When the creature dies, Blade of the Bloodchief triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Thopter Squadron.
3. Activate Thopter Squadron' first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token.
4. Repeat.

This clever recycling loop turns Thopter Squadron into a self-sustaining engine by utilizing its ability to spend its own counters to hatch a 1/1 Thopter token. That newly created token can then be fed directly to Thermopod to generate the red mana needed to keep the cycle going. Meanwhile, Blade of the Bloodchief sits quietly equipped to the Squadron, capitalizing on every sacrifice by feeding those counters right back into the engine to fuel the next generation of Thopters.
