How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another creature, adding one mana of any color.
2. When the creature dies, Blade of the Bloodchief triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a 4/4 Beast creature token.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns simple sacrifices into a self-sustaining engine by uniting three distinct permanents. By fueling your actions with Phyrexian Altar, you can sacrifice a creature to generate the mana needed to keep the cycle going. Each death triggers Blade of the Bloodchief to place a +1/+1 counter onto Herd Baloth, which in turn immediately responds by spawning a fresh 4/4 Beast token to replace the one you lost. Because the token creation feeds right back into the altar for more sacrifices, you end up with an endless loop that generates infinite mana, infinite deaths, and an infinitely large Herd Baloth.
