How it works

1. Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
2. When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
3. Play any land from your graveyard.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop sets up an absolute fortress by constantly cycling Glacial Chasm in and out of play, letting you dodge its painful cumulative upkeep and sacrifice tax entirely. Because Conduit of Worlds allows you to play lands straight from your graveyard, you can simply let Glacial Chasm die to its own upkeep cost each turn and replay it immediately. Meanwhile, Ghirapur Orrery provides the extra land drop needed to ensure you can recast the land each turn while still advancing your board state, turning a seemingly prohibitive defensive drawback into an endless shield that prevents all damage dealt to you.
