How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature with a +1/+1 counter on it, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Basri's Lieutenant's second ability triggers, creating a 2/2 Knight creature token that enters the battlefield with at least two +1/+1 counters due to Master Biomancer.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar into an infinite mana engine by exploiting the constant recycling of creatures. Master Biomancer is the crucial enabler behind the scenes, ensuring that every time Basri's Lieutenant creates a fresh 2/2 white Knight token, it enters the battlefield already bearing the necessary +1/+1 counters. Because of those counters, sacrificing the Knight to Ashnod's Altar immediately triggers Basri's Lieutenant to replace it, fueling a perpetual cycle of sacrifice and rebirth.
