How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another creature with a +1/+1 counter on it, adding one mana of any color.
2. When the creature dies, Basri's Lieutenant's second ability triggers, creating a 2/2 Knight creature token that enters the battlefield with at least one +1/+1 counter due to Bloodspore Thrinax.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Phyrexian Altar as a reliable sacrifice outlet to continuously convert your creatures into mana while triggering Basri's Lieutenant, which generates a 2/2 white Knight token whenever a creature with a +1/+1 counter on it dies. Bloodspore Thrinax pulls heavy weight behind the scenes with its static ability, ensuring that every newly created Knight token enters the battlefield with extra +1/+1 counters already on it. Because those fresh tokens naturally possess counters, sacrificing them back to Phyrexian Altar restarts the entire process, creating an engine for infinite colored mana, death triggers, and creature tokens.
