How it works

1. Cast Ancestral Statue by paying 4
2. Oltec Matterweaver triggers, creating two 1/1 Gnome artifact creature tokens.
3. When Ancestral Statue enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Gnomes, adding CCCC.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns the self-bouncing nature of Ancestral Statue into a self-sustaining engine, fueled by the mana generated when Ashnod's Altar sacrifices the byproducts of your casts. Every time you cast the Statue, Oltec Matterweaver springs into action, and with Anointed Procession doubling those creations, you get a surplus of artifact creatures to feed into the Altar. Because the Statue bounces itself right back to your hand upon arrival, you can recast it indefinitely while generating a massive wave of mana, storm count, and sacrificial triggers.
