How it works

1. Cast Ancestral Statue by paying 4.
2. When Ancestral Statue enters the battlefield, it and Trostani trigger.
3. Resolve the Ancestral Statue trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Trostani triggers, causing you to gain life equal to Ancestral Statue's toughness.
5. Workhorse triggers, putting four +1/+1 counters on itself.
6. Activate Workhorse four times by removing four +1/+1 counters from it, adding CCCC.
7. Repeat.

This loop transforms the endless self-bounce of Ancestral Statue into a self-sustaining engine by channeling Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and Light of Promise into raw material. Every time the Statue enters, Trostani grants you life, which Light of Promise converts into fresh +1/+1 counters on Workhorse. Those counters are immediately stripped away to pay for Workhorse's mana ability, generating the colorless energy needed to recast the Statue and start the cycle anew.
