How it works

1. Cast Ancestral Statue by paying 4
2. Oltec Matterweaver triggers, creating a 1/1 Gnome artifact creature token and a Food token.
3. When Ancestral Statue enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing the Gnome and Food, adding CCCC.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on a clever self-referential dance where Ancestral Statue constantly bounces itself back to your hand upon entering the battlefield, but the presence of Oltec Matterweaver transforms each of those creature casts into a cascade of artifact tokens. Every time the Statue hits the board, Oltec Matterweaver triggers to flood your battlefield with fresh fodder—amplified further by Peregrin Took's replacement effect, which ensures an extra Food token tags along with every creation. You then feed those generated artifacts straight into Krark-Clan Ironworks to generate the colorless mana needed to recast the Statue, keeping the cycle spinning indefinitely while Peregrin Took stands ready to convert your mountain of surplus Food into a sea of drawn cards.
