How it works

1. Cast Ancestral Statue by paying 4
2. Oltec Matterweaver triggers, creating two 1/1 Gnome artifact creature tokens.
3. When Ancestral Statue enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Gnomes, adding CCCC.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns the self-bouncing nature of Ancestral Statue into an infinite engine by feeding its casting cost back to us through Ashnod's Altar. Every time we cast the Statue, Oltec Matterweaver springs into action; thanks to Adrix and Nev, Twincasters doubling our token generation, each cast leaves us with a pair of Gnomes to sacrifice to the Altar for four colorless mana. Since casting the Statue only costs four, we generate infinite mana while churning out endless creature entries, leaves, sacrifices, and deaths.
